I'm officially over the winter! I do love a blanket scarf and a chunky knit, don't get me wrong, but I get so bored of the weather and find myself dreaming of days in the sun! Maybe I need a holiday! This season, fashion is getting seriously cool and quirky. Bold new vibes, sustainable styles and no rules!!!! Let's dive in to the next season's trends...
It's all about the boho chic
Free spirited, laid-back and effortlessly feminine. That's the vibe we're going to be seeing this SS/25, and frankly, I'm here for it! You'll be seeing all the fashion know-it-all's in billowy dresses and embroidered blouses, perfectly tied off with an excessive (more is more) amount of jewellery and accessories. To execute this style, mix high fashion elements with casual comfort.

Gone Fishing
Taking inspiration from nautical elements, the Fisherman style is all about rugged charm and novelty statements. We'll be seeing cosy knit sweaters, oversized cardigans, bright and bold outerwear and all the primary colours. This style is drawn from pieces designed to withstand the elements, but this year we will be seeing all sorts of twists on this once classic style. Keep an eye out for knitted motifs of fish, lobster and sea themes. Is this the comeback of the wellie boot?

The Cowboy Way
You didn't think we were done with double denim and cowboy boots yet did you? Western inspired fashion is back, and this time if we're doing it, we're doing it properly. A denim upgrade, the return of fringe and a whole lot of suede will be everywhere! Keep things sleek and timeless with dark indigo denim and bring in pops of leather and gold hardware to complete your looks.

All the gear but no idea!
Sporty chic is here, but not in the way you once thought. This year you can pair your sports gear with your work wardrobe to create a new twist on athleisure. Think wide leg vintage joggers with a fitted blazer, baseball caps and bomber jackets with midi skirts. All the things that shouldn't go, do.

Now I see nothing wrong with buying into trends, and frankly I'll be having a go at creating outfits with inspiration from all of these looks. Keep up to date with my on instagram @katie.alice.marshall
