about me
fashion adventurer
Fashion has been the center of my life for the past 5 years, and it's time for me to start sharing what I've learnt, how I feel, and what is next to come.
hello there...
Ever since i was little, fashion has been a huge part of my life in the most delightful way. Growing up, I was always parading around in princess dresses and clunky plastic heels and digging around in my mum's jewellery box. My mother's wardrobe became a playground where I could discover styles that opened my eyes to endless possibilities of self-expression. Like many of us in our youth, I used dressing up to tell stories without speaking, a way to become anyone I dreamed of being. I didn't realise it then, but those first fashion 'adventures' would shape the rest of my life.

As I grew into my teenage years, I discover a love for writing. Sat in the back of an English class reading Shakespeare, poetry and classic stories, I began to discover a blend of creativity, expression and storytelling. Fashion was never offered to me as a potential career path, I was always highly academic, encouraged to venture into history and languages. For the longest time, I thought that this was going to hinder my future success in the industry, but I think that it has benefitted my journey greatly. During the pandemic, my fascination with fashion deepened and I found myself pouring over fashion magazines, obsessing over runway collections, discovering the history of trends, designers and moments that changed the industry forever. I had planned to attend Oxford to study Hisotry , but felt stagnant in the idea of the future. Thank's to the pandemic, I had the opportunity to question the path I wanted to take, and take a direct action to change it.

Pursuing my dream, I attended The University of Brighton to study Fashion Communications and Business Studies earning my BA Hons. University was a whirlwind of projects, late nights and learning experiences that sharpened my skills in the industry and exposed me to the challenges of fashion. I thrived in courses that allowed me to blend my creative flair with business of fashion knowldge, excelling in modules from fashion journalism to the core principles of branding and communications During this years, I gained a deeper understanding of how fashion is more than just clothing, it's an industry built on narratives, creativity, connection, challenges and inspiration.

My dedication didn't go unnoticed. During my final year at University, I came across an opportunity to work for a prestigious fashion boutique under the mentorship of Liz Jefferson whose career career saw her working with John Galliano in the super model era. Taking total control of the marketing for Doodie Stark, I started my journey in Fashion Marketing. I had the honour of crafting two applications that went on to win commendable Drapers Independent Awards 2024. These experiences motivated me to dive headfirst into the fashion industry, eager to make my mark.

Today, I proudly have self titled myself as a 'Fashion Adventurer' pushing the boundaries of a typical career. Katie Alice is a way for me to share my perspective on fashion in a way that's authentic and engaging . Through my blog posts and fashion content, I offer styling tips, explore trends and provide insights into the world of fashion. My blog has become a space for me to connect with a vibrant community, especially those in their twenties who are just starting to explore and embrace their own style journey. My styling services and content extend to anyone who feels a spark for fashion and is ready to begin self expression, regardless of their age or gender.

Fuled by enthusiasm, creativity and a direct knowledge of the industry, I approach each project with the same energy I had as a child exploring my mothers wardrobe. My work is driven by a passion for connecting with others and inspiring confidence.
Remember...Fashion should always be fun, adventurous and empowering.
